It's Game Time!

I don't know about you, but I am ready for football season! One more week until my alma mater Michigan State Spartans, as well as many other college and professional sports teams will take to the field to battle it out. All the months of preparation, training and hard work will all be put out on the field. The coaches have spent countless hours putting together a strong game plan and the team who wants it bad enough will come out on top.

This is sort of like the game of life. What is your game plan? Have you put a plan in place for the things you want to achieve in life? Do you know what you want your life to look like in 5 or 10 years from now? Implementing a plan is the key to success. You can't stand by, day by day doing the same old thing, expecting different results. Get your game face on and get ready to charge full speed ahead to achieve what you want out of life. It's game time!

1. Develop your game plan

Every team that wants to win has a game plan in place. Take some time to brainstorm what it is you really want out of life and strategically put in place a plan of action. Break it down into simple tasks so it does not seem so overwhelming.

2. Get in the game

What good is the game plan if your not willing to get fully involved and put in the work that it takes to make things happen? Often times, we write things down and we are motivated in the beginning but then let the plan die. You are the MVP of your life plan so you have to keep the momentum going by putting in the work.

3. Stay in the game

You may get discouraged from time to time but you MUST stay in the game. No one said it would be easy but you have to stay focused and keep your sights toward your goals. Remember, anything worth having is worth fighting for.

4. Finish the game

Often, many give up when they are almost to the finish line. Don't sell yourself short. Look back over what you have accomplished thus far. You took the time to develop your game plan, got involved in the game, stayed in the game even when things got tough so don't give up now. Finish strong!
